About research

He participates in a community-based project titled "Prevention of intestinal parasitosis in school children of vulnerable regions of Costa Rica". In this project, he collaborates with local communities to better understand and prevent these diseases.

He also collaborates with health professionals from various communities to update their knowledge in parasitology and improve the way that these infections are approached and treated. 

He assists with various research projects on the biology, phylogeny, diagnosis, and epidemiology of parasites, primarily helminths.

Additionally, he teaches adjunct courses in the department of parasitology and takes part in pre-professional courses on general parasitology, medical helminthology for microbiologists, and Principles of microbiology and parasitology for nursing students.
