- Bacterial genomics
I have used culture-independent methods to study the ecotoxicology of antibiotics in tropical environments and animal feed for more than a decade. More recently I have incorporated bioinformatics and comparative genomics in my research, with a particular focus on understanding the resistome and mobilome of Clostridium difficile, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and environmental plasmids.
