History

The Medical Mycology Section studies the pattern of sensitivity to antifungals of common pathogenic fungi in Costa Rica with the aim of providing solutions in the management of fungal diseases in the country. Within this context, projects of in vitro sensitivity to azoles of clinical isolates of Sporothrix schenckii sensu stricto, S. globosa, have been developed.
