About research

Our team studies arthropods of medical importance, as etiologic agents and vectors of disease. Research carried out at this time is oriented towards the study of the dynamics of virosis transmitted by Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus (dengue, chikungunya, Zika), study of the ecology of local and regional species of Rickettsia and evaluation of insecticides resistance by Aedes aegypti. We also study clinical cases refered by the National Health System or the National Community that are related to arthropods as causal agents o disease.
